About the hardening furnaces, in English
All furnaces are manufactured by min hell, wich are a high quality hardening furnace that is used by several knifemakers around the world. The furnaces sold by Castra steel are custom made regarding the temperatur controller, effect options and connectivity to the two common wall outlets.
The controller has a programable function that allows up to 16 cycles with different temperatures, ramp times and holding times. This is very useful when the goal is to bring the maximum performance out of every different steel alloy, perticular when heat treating stainless steels. Allowing perfect control when doing annealing cycles.
Effect options. To meet the need of being able to run on 10A fuse, every size of furnace can be ordered with a lower effect. Fore those who can run on 16A fuse, there is the higher effect furnace option. The effect on the 10A furnaces is 2300W and take approximately double time to reach set temperature compared to the 16A furnaces.
Connectivity. All furnaces runs on 230V. Most 16A outlet have the 3 fase contact, and all 3 fase contact can be run as 230V if choosing the 3-fase contact option. (it is possible to run the 1-fase connector to a 3-fase outlet, but this will need an adaptor)
Guarantee. All furnaces comes with a 2 year guarantee from the manufacturer, except for kanthal heating element. The life cycle om the heating element is about 2000-3000h.
